Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) is bringing 'slim milk' into market from July 16.
The government-owned corporation to compete with the private dairies has been planning to being new products like cow milk for the people suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, according to the DDC. "The milk will only contain 0.5 per cent fat."
It is going to bring 500 ml pouch in the market Rs 22 per packet.
The corporation informed that it is going to bring the milk in an orange coloured pouch into markets for sale for the first time.
General Manager of the corporation Siyaram Prasad Singh said that the 'slim milk' is going to be brought on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of DDC as its fourth brand.
The DDC running in full government ownership expects to sell around 6,000 litres of slim milk everyday considering that the slim milk is consumable for patients of diabetes and high blood pressure as well as the obese people.
