The South
Asian nations India and Nepal should strengthen their bilateral relations with
increased security and economic cooperation, according to Indian ambassador to
Nepal Ranjit Rae. Speaking at an interaction, here today organised by the
Reporters' Club, he said the relations between Nepal and India is totally
different from any other countries.
"There
is huge possibility in cooperation in hydropower development, tourism and
agriculture between the two nations, he said, adding that the stability after
the Constitution will help foster the bilateral relations and prepares the
ground for economic development. "However, peace, security and development
are interrelated. The open border between the two nations can benefit both but
the other will be affected, if one has any security problem."
The leaders of various
political parties, on the occasion, urged to make a common stance on hydropower
development to develop the energy sector. They also asked to take advantage
