Industrialist Jagadish Prasad Rathi – chairman
of Bagmati Group – passed away in Hetauda yesterday night due to heart attack.
He was 62, when he breathed his last while on his way to Kathmandu
from his home town Biratnagar.
The chairperson of Tax and Revenue Committee at the Federation of
Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Rathi had deep
understanding of taxation and revenue system.
A very supportive and kind-hearted entrepreneur Rathi was also involved in social activities as former president of Janaki Sewa Sadan and Marwari Sewa Sadan. He was also treasurer of Radhakrishna Mandir in Biratnagar.

Since his affiliation with FNCCI in 1988, as a member of Morang Trade
Association –a chapter of FNCCI in Morang – he has been actively involved in
FNCCI in various capacities. The FNCCI has expressed its deep condolence on the
sudden demise of Rathi, who is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
