Guerrilla Trek unveiled to promote tourism


Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) and with some local organisations today jointly unveiled the Guerrilla Trek around the Maoist heartland Rolpa to promote ‘War Tourism’.
UCPN-Maoist supremo Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ – who led a decade long people’s war in their own words – launched the trekking map and the guide book here today.
The 27-day long trek has been divided into three including the shortest trail of a week, lies around Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve. It starts from Beni of Myagdi or Chaurjahari of Piyuthan or Holeri of Rolpa.
Trekking agencies offer tents and camps for the trekkers and there is also a facility of Home-stay for trekkers during a journey through heartland of post-conflict territory.
There are many caves, where the rebels hid during the insurgency, captivating waterfalls, lakes along with magnificent view of Dhaulagiri range apart from natural resources, biodiversity and rich culture of ethnic groups in the trail, informed author of The Guerrilla Trek guide book Alonzo Lyons.
The route that begins from Beni passes through Darbang and Takam of Myagdi-Dhorpatan-Thankur at an altitude of 3,175 metres on seventh day.
It passes through Kayam, Maikot and Thawang of Rolpa district and ends at Sulichaur -Jelbang of Rolpa.

One thing I would like to say is that often before getting more pc memory,
look into the machine in which it could well be installed.
When the machine is usually running Windows XP, for instance, the memory limit is
3.25GB. Adding over this would basically constitute a waste.
