Spain is sending a consignment of health materials for Nepal in a chartered flight tomorrow.
"The consignment includes ventilators, oxygen concentrators and PPEs," according to a press note issued by the Foreign Ministry.
Director of the Spanish agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) Magdy Martinez Soliman is also visiting Nepal to hand over the Spanish cooperation to Nepal, the press note adds.
Today foreign minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali held a telephone conversation with Minister for External Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain Arancha Gonzalez Laya, when they discussed matters relating to various aspects of Nepal-Spain relations and cooperation.
Thanking the government of Spain, Gyawali said that the support received from Spain will be valuable at a time when Nepal is battling the surge of new variants of Covid-19.
Gonzalez Laya, while thanking Nepal for facilitating repatriation of stranded Spanish nationals, assured of continued cooperation from Spain at the bilateral level as well as through the EU and other channels, the press note reads.
