Zinc-InVision Hospitality -- that was launched in bangkok today -- aims to open 30 hotels in Asia by 2013. The growth will be financed in part by Z-I Capital Partners, which is the investment fund set up by the current Zinc-InVision Hospitality partners and fortified by other investors.
The new entity is a joint partnership between Thailand based InVision Hospitality and the Singapore based investment company Cinnovation, a holdings of $1 billion. Cinnovation is part of Chaudhary Group.
The newly formed Zinc-InVision Hospitality will incorporate the expertise of the existing 35 person InVision staff and various professionals from the Cinnovation-CG corporate structure, in addition to hiring new senior level talent to drive targeted growth.
Kevin Beauvais, the CEO of the company has over 30 years experience in hotel development and management, including 25 years with Marriott International, culminating as Country Manager for Thailand.
He also has served as COO and a director of Minor International PCL, which owns the award-winning Four Seasons Resorts in Thailand and Anantara Resorts.
"The creation of Zinc-InVision Hospitality marks the arrival of a formidable hotel management company and fresh brand offerings in the Asian hotel and hospitality arena," said Beauvais, announcing the new company.
Cinnovation-CG has the financial depth and hospitality background to support the growth while InVision has the depth of experience and hospitality know-how to execute all elements of technical, sales & marketing and operating activities.
"We expect phoenix-like growth in the next few years," he said, adding that Zinc-InVision Hospitality has already developed with seven hotel and hospitality brands -- Zinc City, Glow Studios, Zinc Edge, Zinc Living, Zinc Journey, Soma and Touch by Zinc.
Each one caters to a unique market segment – luxury resorts, hip business hotels, value-oriented urban travelers, long-stay and residential living, heritage travel, and spa & wellness retreats.
"I am excited and extremely confident about bringing the innovative hotel brands," Binod Chaudhary, president of Cinnovation-CG -- who is also accompanying Beauvais on a five-city tour of Asia to launch Zinc-InVision Hospitality, in January -- said.
"We have created within Zinc-InVision Hospitality to the global market," he said, adding that they aim to succeed by anticipating social trends and the emerging demands of hotel customers and matching these with well designed hotels and well trained staff.
