The Micro Entrepreneurship Trade
Fair that started on Friday concluded today garnering huge attraction for
handlooms and coats made of allo fibre besides honey and local crafts.
The fair that provided an
exposure to micro entrepreneurship, generated a good response from visitors,
according to chairperson of National Micro Entrepreneurship Federation Kesh
Kumari Pariyar.
The five-day fair showcased allo
clothes, bags, Nepali handmade paper and dairy products, squash, herbal
soaps, chhurpi, bamboo products and Nepali carpets and blankets.
The fair that aimed to connect
the products of micro entrepreneurs from the poor, women, dalit, indigenous and
Madhesi communities to the market was successful, added Pariyar.
The micro entrepreneurship
programme supported by the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Programme (MEDEP) has
been operating in many districts of the country. Due to encouraging output, the
Australian government has increased its assistance to the micro enterprise
sector lately.
