IMF study missions discuss budget, taxation system



International Monetary Fund (IMF) missions today met with finance ministry officials and discussed on budget and tax administration reform programmes.
A mission led by Eliko Pedastaar met finance secretary Shanta Raj Subedi and other the ministry officials and discussed on budget formulation process and reform programmes.
Subedi, on the occasion, highlighted government steps in bringing about reforms in the budget system.
Similarly, another mission led by Debra Adams discussed on taxation system and its reform programme.
The mission, on the occasion, recommended some reforms in tax management system, authorisation of auditing, classification of central taxation, effective mobilisation of the dues and settlement of mismatch.
