NAC aircraft to return tomorrow from C Check

The Nepal Airlines aircraft 9N-ACA is returning to its regular service from tomorrow, after 50 days.
“The Boeing 757 that was sent to ST Aerospace Singapore for regular C Check on June 14 will return tomorrow evening from Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur with passengers,” informed the national flag carrier.
According to the sources, delay in payment for maintenance has caused the delay in return of the aircraft, though NAC claimed that the maintenance itself was delayed. The delay has, however, caused a loss of around Rs 170 million for the ailing national flag carrier that has only two Boeing 575 for its international flights. If one aircraft goes on regular C check, the routes need to be reduced to adjust the remaining one.
The 9N-ACA aircraft, with passengers onboard from Kula Lumpur, is scheduled to land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 11:00 pm tomorrow, it said, adding that the aircraft was initially sent for the maintenance for 26 days but took some 24 more days due to technological reasons, the corporation added.
“With the arrival of the aircraft, the NAC will reschedule its flights on Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong routes,” according to the spokesperson of the corporation Ganesh Bahadur Chand. Kula Lumpur and Hong Kong routes are considered some of the profitable routes, though with airlines flying on the routes, there is a cut-throat competition lately, especially on Kuala Lumpur route as Malaysia has been the most preferred migrant workers destination of unemployed youths.
