A business
delegation of tourism and travel trade from Nepal held a meeting with Indian tourism
secretary Parvez Dewan and other senior officials of Tourism Ministry in India today.
The Indian higher officials agreed for joint publicity of India and Nepal as tourist destinations in other countries.

suggesting joint venture with Nepal in showcasing Himalayan and adventure
tourism, Indian officials have agreed to joint offering of tour packages in
third countries by tour operators of both the countries.
According to the statement, the Nepali delegation sought India's cooperation in the development of hotel infrastructure in Nepal too.

The Ministry of External Affairs of
India along with Embassy of India in Kathmandu has organised the 18 member
delegation visit from Nepal to the Indian capital Delhi from July 1-3.
The delegation representing three sectors –agriculture, education and Tourism – also met with Indian agriculture secretary Shri Ashish Bahuguna and his team at Krishi Bhavan.
Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on behalf of Ministry of External Affairs coordinated and organised a B2B session at FICCI House, where FICCI director Goutam Ghosh welcomed the delegates.
Vice president Nepal India Chamber of Commerce Shyam Lohia, on the occasion, highlighted the possibilities on India-Nepal partnership on agriculture sector. He also stressed on education and tourism sectors that could be a platform for both the countries investors.
