NAC adds one more flight to Kuala Lumpur, suspends New Delhi operations

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has added one more flight to Malaysia from March 23 due to increasing number of passengers on Kathmandu-Kuala Lumpur route.
“NAC offers affordable fares on the route,” the corporation claimed adding that its airfare to Malaysia is around Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000, which is one of the cheapest.

Earlier, the corporation had six flights a week on Kuala Lumpur-Kathmandu route. NAC has three weekly flights to Hong Kong, two to Bangkok, and four flights to Doha. But it has withheld the flights to Dubai and Delhi due to lack of aircraft.

Despite being New Delhi-Kathmandu one of the most profitable routes, the ailing national flag carrier suspended its flights – for the second time – to New Delhi recently, though it was planning to resume its operations to Delhi from January.
Earlier, in 2008 also, NAC had suspended flights to New Delhi for about a month. Now the corporation has officially closed down its New Delhi office citing high annual operation cost.
