PAF VC puts in paper

The vice chair of Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) Janak Raj Joshi resigned today citing personal reasons.
Former secretary Joshi was appointed almost a year ago as the vice chair of Poverty Alleviation Fund by the incumbent government.
Joshi had built a good rapport with the key donor of Poverty Alleviation Fund, World Bank (WB) and was working on issuing the Poor Identification Card to the poors, who earn lower than the national standard for privileged basic services.
Though he cited personal reasons for the resignation, the Poverty Alleviation Fund office bearers are silent on it. The caretaker government led by Dr Baburam Bhattarai has been recently marred in corruption charges and experts blame Bhattarai for resignation of an experienced former bureaucrat that will delay the PAF plans to distribute poverty cards.
